London Flat Tour | What £2,200 Gets You in Southwest London: 3-Bedroom Flat
Today I'm giving you a tour of the 3 Bed flat in Southwest London that my two flatmates and I have called home for the past 2 years. Back in 2022, we scored this place for £2,200 a month (split according to our room sizes), but now it’s listed at £2,600.
We really loved living in this flat and the location was great even though we weren't close to a tube. The buses and trains still kept us connected and we had everything we needed for day-to-day life in walking distance.
After two years it was time for a change, so stay tuned for flat hunting and moving vlogs!
Don’t forget to like, subscribe, and follow me on Instagram @emilyeverywhere_ for more London adventures and updates. 🌆

8 hours in Paris | Day trip from London

I got the crazy idea to just hop over to Paris for the day. As an American, iving in London, the accessibility of travel is still wild to me so I take advantage of it every chance I get. It occured to me that the travel time to Paris is about the same as the commute I make once a month to Bristol for work, so I thought "why not go to France for the day?" I got in around noon and my Eurostar tra...

      Yes, from the north terminal there is a tram to the south terminal. Follow the signs to the train and you’ll find it. Once you get off the tram, you’ll exit right next to the train station.

      Public transport is not as plentiful in the US and most people are not very familiar with it even though for Europeans it seems very simple. I had some anxiety about arriving to Heathrow my first time - so, yes a video was super helpful! Even though everyone was just lovely and helpful when I arrived it was nice to be a tiny bit familiar with what I was looking for.

    I am traveling solo to Brussels this coming weekend, so catching your vlog was timely! Thank you! (And I have ZERO inhibitions about dining solo. No one gives a sh*t haha.) Although I have tons of friends, family, and a partner, I am still an introvert and still LOVE to travel alone, and people just accept that about me, lol.

    As someone who has done a lot of these little stops and layover dashes, this was the most realistic vlog of a European city I have ever seen in my life 😂 The crowds, the searching for food, the moderately priced chocolates, the narrow slippery steps of some old building/tower haha. Being concious of your depature time. This was great. It looks like a fun and charming place to spend some time and I am adding it to my list.

    Lovely video - thanks for sharing. Meatballs for the People is in no way a bad restaurant, but it also feels a bit like a tourist trap. You're not the first vlogger to fall into it. There are a bunch of restaurants that I would prefer to recommend to a visitor who wants to eat Swedish comfort food, like meatballs. Many with a little more proverbial history in the walls.

    Question about paying for buses, the tube, etc with a family of 4. Is it better to have each individual tap to pay for their fare or can one person pay for everyone in your party? I don’t want to make it complicated or be one of those tourists that gets in the way and holds things up.

    • @emily_meadows
      @emily_meadows Місяць тому

      It’s not possible to use the same card for more than one person’s journey. Each person can either tap with their own contactless credit card or oyster card. I recommend getting an oyster card for kids or anyone who doesn’t have their own credit card. As long as everyone is prepared with their card before getting on the bus or going through the barriers for the tube, it won’t hold anyone up. Hope that helps!
